In stories there are always those stereotype characters that you just know will be there. Some of them could be like a wise old man to guide the hero to go and save everyone like he's supposed to. There is a wise old man in The Lion King, and that is Rafiki. Rafiki found Simba and showed him how he could talk to his father so then Simba could get some sense into him to go back and save his home. Another stereotype is the hero of course, and that would be Simba. The bad guy stereotype in The Lion King would be Scar. He is the bad guy because he killed Mufasa and told Simba to run away so he could take over as king of Pride Rock. One more stereotype is the side kicks that help the hero save everyone and win in the end. Simba's sidekicks in the movie are Timon and Pumba. When Simba ran away Timon and Pumba where his only friends and they helped him survive in the jungle. Also when Simba went back to challenge Scar they created a diverson for the hyenas so Simba could get pasted. All of these stereotypes are what puts the whole story together and without them there wouldn't be any story.
